Vice President of Product Design for Digital Membership Experiences @ American Express

Evan English is the Vice President of Product Design for digital membership experiences at American Express. In this role, she leads a multi-disciplinary global design organization for the company’s mobile, web and push channels. Her team’s mission is to make American Express more essential to customers’ lives through differentiated digital experiences. To help drive this mission forward, Evan and team are enabling a highly integrated design practice with the broader digital product organization, which includes user experience research and customer insights.


Prior to this role, Evan was the Vice President of Product, responsible for the development of Membership Web experiences, including account management and the company homepage. She has also held previous digital product positions across American Express, including responsibility for the digital servicing experience for card-accepting Merchant customers. 


Before joining American Express, Evan worked at Scholastic, an education and children’s book publishing company, leading digital partnerships for educational programs that reached millions of teachers, students and parents. She has an English Literature degree from Villanova University.
