Chief Product Officer @ Morningstar
Tricia Rothschild, CFA, is chief product officer for Morningstar. She oversees product strategy, development, and execution of the software, data, research, index, and digital advice solutions delivered to Morningstar’s asset management, advisor, retirement, and individual-investor clients.
Rothschild previously served as head of global advisor solutions, setting the strategic direction for the deployment of the firm’s investment management, software, data, and research capabilities to wealth managers, banks, broker-dealers, online brokerages, and RIA firms.
Throughout her 25-year career at Morningstar, Rothschild has consistently brought Morningstar’s unique thought leadership and analytical frameworks to the market in ways that solve investor problems. She began her career at Morningstar as a closed-end fund analyst and later became the international editor of Morningstar Mutual Funds. She served as the e-commerce manager of Morningstar.com and led content management for that site for several years. Rothschild co-developed Morningstar’s first retirement plan portfolio analytics and reporting services to help plan sponsors and consultants evaluate plan lineups. From 2003 through 2012, she led development and growth of the firm’s equity research business.
Rothschild holds a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in Russian and Central European economics from Indiana University. She also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation. She was a contributor to the book Exploring Advice: What You Need to Know About Good Financial Advice, a Quality Financial Plan and the Role of a Fiduciary (CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform, 2016). She is on the board of directors of Y-Charts, a financial terminal provider based in Chicago, and a founding member of the Women in Wealth Management’s steering committee.
