Co-Founder, COO @ CNote
Yuliya Tarasava is a co-founder and COO of CNote, an award-winning impact investment platform where all of us can earn competitive return while spurring economic growth in underserved communities by investing in female and minority entrepreneurs, housing, and other community development projects. Yuliya started her career on Wall Street in risk management and product development. For AMG Funds, she led the quantitative due diligence for mutual funds across multiple asset classes. Later at Summit Rock Advisors, she co-developed the proprietary analytics and risk management framework for a portfolio of over $10B in assets.
Being born and raised in Belarus, Yuliya has always had an interest in how finance can contribute to economic development and equality. Immediately prior to CNote, she was selected for Acumen’s Global Fellowship program. That led to her running strategy and operations for Juhudi Kilimo, a micro-financial institution and certified B-Corp in Nairobi that supports farmers and small-to-medium agro-businesses throughout Kenya. That experience galvanized her belief that financial innovation can be a force for good and have a drastic real-world impact on individuals’ lives.
